What is Hot Ranking?

Hot Ranking is the internet's tier-list playground — an interactive ranking platform where every opinion gets a seat at the table and every debate gets settled by the people who actually care. We publish curated polls across eight categories: Music, Movies & TV, Gaming, Anime, Sports, Food, Nostalgia, and Memes. Each poll is one of four formats: a tier list (drag every option into S-A-B-C-D-F tiers), a ranking (order items best-to-worst), a this-or-that head-to-head, or a hot take (agree or disagree with a controversial statement). The result is a structured way to argue about the things people actually want to argue about — whether Folklore holds up better than Red, whether pineapple really belongs on pizza, and where Messi vs Ronaldo actually lands after all the noise.

How rankings get decided

Every poll on this site is curated by hand. We pick the topics we genuinely want to argue about — not what's algorithmically trending — and we source a real image for every option (album art from iTunes, posters from Wikipedia, character portraits, dish photos). We don't pad rankings with filler items, and we don't accept emoji stand-ins. If we can't find a clean visual for a candidate, we don't include it.

Votes are anonymous and capped at one per poll per browser, enforced by a hashed fingerprint that can't identify you personally. Aggregated results update in real time so you can see how your tier list compares to the consensus the moment you submit. We rate-limit submissions to keep results clean, and we don't sell vote data or use it for retargeting. The full details are in our Privacy Policy and Methodology page.

Today's poll, trending polls, and the daily rotation

The featured poll at the top of this page rotates every 24 hours, automatically selecting from the polls that have generated the strongest engagement signals over the past week. The Viral Right Now block tracks live vote velocity — these are the rankings people are actually fighting about today, not just the ones that have accumulated votes over time. Below that, we surface a handful of editor's picks (Must Play), then the most recent additions, then an infinite-scroll feed of every poll on the site sorted by all-time popularity.

About the project

Hot Ranking is a small, independent publication. We don't run pop-ups, autoplay video ads, or paywalls. The site is supported by display advertising via Google AdSense, served in fixed slots that never intrude on the voting interface itself.
